Target Group

Any Person(s) who, as part of their working duties are involved in the erection, dismantling and use of mobile access towers.

Aims

• The aim of the training is to provide candidates with the necessary information to safely erect, use, inspect and dismantle aluminium or fibreglass mobile access towers

Objectives

At the end of the instruction the candidates will be able to:

• Have an understanding of the statutory regulations
• Inspect mobile access tower equipment
• Understand safe working procedures
• Identify safe working heights
• Understand safe working loads
• Moving mobile access towers
• Use and inspect mobile access towers

• Ground and site conditions
• Sequence of erecting and dismantling mobile access towers
• Use of stabilisers, outriggers sole pads and ties
• Moving and repositioning erected towers
• Inspection report procedure
• Multi choice test paper
• Advanced Guardrails and 3T (Through The Trap) erection
• Practical Erection, moving, inspection and dismantling

Safety Requirements

• As the instruction may be carried out on site, the client’s site regulations/requirements must be adhered to.
• PPE must be worn at all times throughout the instruction
