NEBOSH National General Certificate In Occupational Health & Safety

Objectives

On completion of the training trainees attending will have the skills and knowledge to identify procedures and systems within their organisation to minimise the risk to persons within the organisation and the skills to develop safe working procedures.

Who for

Managers, supervisors and staff from all types of organisations who need a broad understanding of health and safety issues. The certificate helps them manage risk effectively. Many people take the NEBOSH certificate as a first step on a career in Health & Safety. It provides a valuable overview, and is a sound basis for further professional study.

Course Content

• Unit 1—Management of Health & Safety.
• Unit 2—Managing and controlling hazards in construction activities.

Training Method

Students are assessed with written examinations for each of the units taught. A unit certificate is issued denoting successful achievement of each unit. A certificate award parchment is issued on completion of the two units and the practical assessments.

Additional Information

This course meets the criteria for CITB grants. CITB registered companies will be able to claim current allotted attendance grant for this course (except exam days).
