Following significant investment, Horizon Platforms Ltd opened the UK’s largest standalone indoor IPAF training centre in 2010.
This 17,000 sq ft fully-refurbished modern training facility offers warmth and comfort all-year-round. As a result, everyone on our courses is able to fully concentrate on the materials and direction being given by our expert instructors without the distraction of cold winds, rain or snow.
The training centre has been specially designed with specific areas for both classroom instruction and practical demonstration meaning we can easily showcase a range of equipment including Scissor Lifts (3A), Boom Lifts (3B), Vertical Personnel Lifts (1A), Trailer & Truck Mounted Boom (1B), Push Around Vertical (PAV).

Where is the Training Held?
Horizon’s impressive training facilities are conveniently located just one minute from Junction 40 of the M1 in Wakefield.
At the junction roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Wakefield Rd/A638 heading towards Wakefield and turn right after approx half a mile. The training centre will be on your right as you head into Roundwood Industrial Estate.
